Since 2020, Otaku Host Club has been a podcast of sitting around with your friends and talking about anime. Three old friends, all lifelong anime fans, discuss the latest releases and the oldest obscurities, from TV to OVA to movie to manga. OHC discusses everything from individual titles to studio/director spotlights to big brain philosophical ideas. Plenty of other friends from other podcasts take a seat at the table from time to time, and if you hop on the Discord, you basically can too. We look forward to your company.

Geoff is a homegrown Baltimorian who's love of anime started all the way back in the summer of 98'; when Toonami was airing Dragon Ball Z, Sailor Moon, Gundam Wind, and Outlaw Star. On the show, he keeps the peace between Amelia and Dan; and shares his unique interest in early anime roots. Some of his favorite themes in anime are sci-fi/fantasy, action-adventure, post-apocalypse, and cyberpunk. It makes perfect sense then that his favorite director is Satoshi Kon. When Geoff is not binging anime, he's off creating beats and jamming on his guitar and synths. Check out his bands MiGiLa and Air Chrysalis.

Amelia lives in Baltimore with her cats, Pearl and Ebbe, and her partner Stephen. Aside from writing for the podcast, she also manages the social media, creates the episode art, and calls Dan out on his shit (but in the most loving way). She maintains a strong 500+ watched anime series and some of her favorite themes are: gore and blood, moe, otakus doing otaku things, and genre subversion. Her favorite anime includes: Lucky Star, Naruto, Orimo, Monogatari Series, Cyberpunk Edgerunners, and Chainsaw Man. When she’s not knee-deep in anime, she’s playing Genshin and Bang Dream mobile; and working on her hentai-inspired streetwear brand, Lewd Driip, coming to a con near you!

One of Dan's earliest memories in life is watching Robotech on tv. One of Dan's most recent memories in life is watching Vinland Saga on Crunchyroll. In between watching anime, he runs SPHC Records, Believe in Punk distro, and plays drums in several DIY punk bands. Dan could be coming to a city near you, between the podcast, touring with bands, and food roadtrips. Or he could be at home in Minneapolis, in which case he's always either at the gym or asleep. This is why he's never able to record when we want him to, jerk!

Kristella is a master organizer for the club and writes the show notes for each episode. A self-described glorified-secretary, she keeps things running behind scenes and makes sure we’re paying our bills on time. She lives in Oklahoma with her husband John and her three ESO characters. Her favorite themes in anime are gore, drama, big reveals, and thought-provoking scenes. Her favorite anime include: Mushishi, Black Lagoon, Hellsing Ultimate, and Psycho-Pass. She’s anxiously awaiting the season season of Jujutsu Kaisen but hasn’t started reading the manga yet.
